My usual advice to future 5th graders

Dear 5th grader,
I would like to give you some advice which will help you in your future endeavor in middle school. First of all, remember that there are different buses for elementary school and middle school. I know that you are very unhappy in the morning because you have to wake up early and go to the bus stop with closed eyes. Just don't go to elementary school, they don't like you anymore.
When you are at your new school, remember one thing: don't look left. You will see your principal if you do. This person is too curious. They can ask you about different things. For example: What are you doing in the school at 9 pm? It will be hard to explain that you slept so long during your last class and just regained consciousness.
Another good piece of advice: Never participate in any musical activities. They can find out that you are as talented as Beethoven and will never leave you alone.
So be happy and sleep well. Bye.

My great grandmother

My great grandmother is an amazing person. In the 1950's, during the polio epidemic, which affected children, she became the founder of the first medical department to fight this disease in the region where she lived. She worked very hard and after that, many of her little patients learned how to sit, stand and walk again. They loved her so much that they called her mom. She is now 89 years old and is still working as a consulting pediatric neurologist. There are articles about her in the newspapers. I am really proud of my great grandmother.

Can a violin player save the world?

If I could meet 3 famous people, I would choose Isaac Newton, Arnold Schwarzenegger and Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. I have specific reasons to meet only these 3 people because each of them has extraordinary abilities. Of course, everyone knows that Newton can solve almost any problem, Mozart can play piano and violin, and Schwarzenegger can kill as many aliens as possible. That is why I will ask them to do other things. I would like to see how Schwarzenegger plays violin, Mozart kills aliens, and Newton trying to solve the problem of why those two are doing that. I would give Mozart a huge machine gun and watch how he would save the Earth from an invasion. And Schwarzenegger with a violin will be right behind him playing beautiful music. I don't know what Newton will do at that moment but I'm going to sell this plot to Steven Spielberg.

How to produce a complicated post

It is so complicated to write this "complicated" blog post. There are blogs about weather, thoughts and ideas, about people. Any experienced blogger can write a blog about anything unless  they are asked to write a "complicated blog post". That blogger will be confused. So am I. That is why I spent so many words trying to express my thoughts about this blog post. And my thoughts are really complicated. That is why my main idea about this post is that a person should empty their head before writing such a post. They shouldn't think about the point of their sentences and connections between words. And then they will get a perfectly complicated blog.

CAT Test

Image result for computer assisted tomography
Computer Assisted Tomography (CAT)
I like multiple complex tests. For example: I would like to test what would happen if I were to place a smartphone in a microwave. At the same time, I will also be able to conduct another test: What my father's reaction to his smartphone in a microwave would be. And when he will ask me how his phone ended up in the microwave, I will tell him "I am very busy dad, I am preparing for an English test in school". That is what I call a complex test.
However, I do not like school tests because they include neither smartphones nor microwaves. They don't even include a cat. And this is very bad because I heard that in medicine, CAT tests are very popular.

Field trip to the White House

My cat has never been on a field trip. But I have been on many. But I don't think that my cat would've liked most of these trips because of the ride which always accompanies trips (my cat doesn't like vehicles) and also because he is afraid of children.
There are two types of field trips: camping and travel to museums. If I had to choose between camping and a museum I would choose camping for example: because I can use a bow in a camp but if I even touch a similar bow in a museum, an alarm will sound and I will be arrested.
I am sure that my cat would prefer camping over a museum like me. I think he will really enjoy fishing. I would like for there to be a universal field trip that combines camping and a museum. For example: catch fish in the pond in front of the White House.

Modern Dinosaurs

When I watched Jurassic Park, I was thinking how much more advanced technology became after this movie was filmed. I know that they used both computer graphics and real models. Now, computer graphics are much better and more realistic. However I still like this movie because the plot is interesting.
The plot seems to be very simple. A group of people comes to an island to look at a new theme park. They discover that there are live dinosaurs in it. Then something goes wrong and the dinosaurs escape from their cages starting to attack people. After that, the situation gets out of control and the main characters are trying to survive.
There is a lot of action in this movie. I think that it is a good, suspenseful action movie. It also makes you think that people must be careful with scientific discoveries and not use them for their personal benefit.

My Music

I have mixed feelings about music. I like to listen to loud music when I am in a car and the car is going fast. However, there are situations when I don't like music at all. My mom likes to listen to Nirvana when she is cleaning the house. My cat hates this group. When he hears it, he always runs and hides. And I feel the same. When my sister sings, I don't like music at all. She thinks that she can sing very well. She is wrong about this. She believes so much in her singing abilities that she singed up for chorus. And she is very surprised that she never was chosen as a solo singer. Maybe she will improve over time. If I had to have a job in music, I would choose to be a music critic. I think I would be good at it.

The Wall

Dear Mr. President,
I don't think the wall that you plan on building between the US and Mexico to stop illegal immigrants will work. Just like when the Berlin wall was built, people from East Germany could find other ways to get across. They just climbed over the wall so guards were placed on towers to shoot anyone passing over the wall. I hope that American soldiers aren't going to shoot Mexican citizens. In Berlin, people found a way to get through: they just dug tunnels. In modern times, with the advancement in technology there now is equipment that can quickly dig very long tunnels. It is easy to imagine that a new type of business will appear in Mexico: many people will start digging tunnels to the US and sell tickets to pass through the border. Therefore, I think that the wall will not be effective and the money spent on this wall should be spent on something useful.

Great Physicist And Cat

Image result for maxwell physics cat  My name is Maxim, which means "greatest". This name came from the Roman family name "Maximus". Today I realized that I don't like my name because I have to write this blog post about it. I have no idea what to write about, but I will try.
I know that there are names similar to mine. For example, short names like Max. When I hear this I don't want it to be attributed to me. I feel that I deserve the full version of my name. However, I like the name "Maxwell" because it belongs to James Clerk Maxwell, who was a Scotland physicist famous for his work in electricity.
Sometimes I hate my name. It happens early in the morning on school days. My mother enters my room and tells me "Maxim, WAKE UP!". And at this particular moment, I hate my name.
I want to say something about my cat but my cat has to relation to my name because his name is Toby and he can't even pronounce my name correctly.

Seaweed and bees

There are two different kinds of food: healthy food and food you actually can enjoy eating. I always wonder why healthy food has to be things like broccoli, whole grain bread or the seaweed that I keep finding in my soup for some unknown reason. My mom claims that it is cabbage but I don't believe her. However, there are some healthy foods that I actually do enjoy eating like raspberries and persimmons.
I wish chocolate and ice cream were healthy foods and broccoli was unhealthy. They taste much better and are much more filling than healthy food. You can eat a plate of broccoli and still be hungry while if you eat a chocolate bar, you will feel full.
Bees have much better healthy food choices than humans. They can eat sweet honey all day while people have to eat things like cucumbers. But I also feel sorry for them because they can't eat chocolate, which is the best food. Sometimes, I wish I were a giant chocolate-eating bee that could turn vegetables into chocolate.

My Future Gift

Parents sometimes give their kids a science kit (for example, physics or chemistry) as a gift. But I want a science kit from the future. I think it will include a nuclear generator, a powerful laser, a couple pounds of antimatter, and of course a spaceship. The nuclear generator will generate power in my house (maybe in my city too). It will also heat water in lake Michigan and we will finally have tropical jungles instead of winters. I will use the laser to defend against attacks by aliens who will try to steal my cat. I have seen many times in alien movies that aliens love cats as much as I love chocolate. I don't know what to do with the antimatter, but it sounds fun. I will use the spaceship to go to school with a stop on Mars because the spaceship is supposed to go to space and then back. I hope that my science kit will help aliens replace cats in their diets with squirrels or other rats.

Thankful stuff

There are many things for which I’m thankful. I am thankful for my family, my mother, father and sister. I am especially thankful for my younger because she did not destroy my computer yet. Also I am thankful for my cat, Toby, because he never bites me and thinks that he is an alarm clock and wakes me up every morning. Also I am thankful for the people who created computers because they are interesting. I would like to thank Samsung as well in spite of its unreasonable prices for its laptops and tablets. I am thankful for my GoPro because it records fish and other things that are underwater very well. I am thankful for the ability to be thankful.

Albert Einstein and Toby the cat

Image result for famous quotes
I have a cat named Toby. He is 4 years old and during these 4 years he dreamed of catching a nice little squirrel. So far he tried to catch it hundreds of times but failed. Squirrels run faster and jump higher than Toby. Also he is not an experienced cat and he makes a lot of mistakes. But he keeps trying and I'm sure sooner or later maybe in another 4 years he will manage to catch one of them. It will be a new and plesant experience for my cat. And then I will tell him what Albert Einstein said: A person who never made a mistake never tried anything new.
